1. Introduction
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on profitfirstprofessionals.ca, what they do, and how to turn them off. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal information generally.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Some are necessary for the site to work; others tell us how the site is being used.
2. Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary. These make the site function — keeping a form's state as you move through it, balancing load, and protecting against abuse. You cannot turn these off through us, because the site will not work without them.
Analytics. These tell us which pages are visited and how people move through the site, so we can improve it. We look at this in aggregate, not to build a profile of you.
Preference. These remember choices you have made, such as a filter you applied to the directory, so the page behaves sensibly when you come back.
We do not use cookies to serve you advertising on other websites.

4. How to manage cookies
4.1 In your browser
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones. Look under Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of this site working.

4.2 Do Not Track
Browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal, but there is still no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, and we do not currently change our behaviour based on it. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply a protection we do not provide.
